ProVoTrain – Progress in Vocational Training for Rural Development

The overall aim of the project is to promote sustainable development of rural areas by improving the Quality of Vocational Educational Training systems and practices. In order to achieve this the specific aims of the project are defined: 1)To develop the Portofolio of Evidence, a new tool for assessment of student’s achievements(experience) gathered in the workplace, either as a contracted worker or as a trainee for transferable student’s qualifications at vocational educational system EU Qualification level 2,3, and 4 (the Council of the EEC Decision of 16 July 1985 on the comparability of vocational training qualifications between the Member States of the European Community ,decision 85/368/EEC) for the fields of agriculture, forestry, processing and tourism; 2)to develop a Training of Trainers package, 3) to teach supervisors, education inspectors, assessors on how to use the instrument, how to use the new tool in the most beneficiary way for the target group. The project outcome Potfolio’s of Evidence will present a tool for assessment of learning outcom particularly in skills which will provide the development of the vocational education in rural areas by making students skills progress easy tranferable to other industries and understandable dy education establishments. The results will be available on CD-ROM and hard copies and presented to the dedicated website.Furthermore, Trained Trainers in use of Portfolio of Evidence will be available and accessible to support implementation of the project results in the partner countries and beyond.
