Promouvoir la Mobilité des Travailleurs Handicapés dans leur Parcours de Professionnalisation
Start date: Jun 1, 2016, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

Within the professionalization objectives of disabled workers of ESAT ADAPEI 33, immersion in a European country allow an opening, an opportunity to discover and learn on the theme of "Landscape Gardener". Scheduled on a 1 year period, this mobility project will engage many professionals for the preparation, the follow up and post-project. The major objectives are the ability to integrate in a different cultural context, and implement new methods of work. This will feed their motivation and desire to learn, to unleash their power to say and act, and make them actors along their formative course. Citizens "like everyone else", they will exercise their rights to training from foreign colleagues, and integrate common values of citizenship. This cooperation partnership, the exchanges and cultural coeducation of the teams will be so much “sesame” to foster access to the labour market. This experience combined with their qualification course, validated by a common law degree (CAPA or BPA “Lanscape-gardener”), will allow them to enhance their self-confidence ; they’ll feel better equipped to compete in the work market placeThe staffs themselves will question their practices with their Europeans colleagues, and will revisit the way they think and act regarding training. A capital of knowledge and experiences will then be created. This mobility project will allow the host country to develop the welcoming of foreign partners and to enhance integration. The staff and the learners will facilitate contacts, and connections with each other. They will be, in turn, welcomed by the other country. These exchanges give life to the citizenship principles and the respect for the social codes to ensure the "encounter" and "living together". They also contribute to the harmonization of professional and training practices within the European Union. This project will extend, once back, by a broadcasting of the results in the institution and near other partners, with the need to cultivate the links and to spin off the action on other professions such as catering, laundry, maintenance of premises…since ADAPEI 33 provides training in these sectorsThe institutional objective also is to inform, even beyond our borders, that training opportunities and professionalization programs are available for disabled workers. That the range of possibilities is open and allows people with disabilities to feel recognized as "worker" before being considered as "disabled"
