Start date: Sep 5, 2016,
End date: Sep 4, 2017
The Relais Brenne Initiatives Jeunes (RBIJ), youth service in the Regional Natural Park of Brenne, plans to host two volunteers from Italy and Slovakia from September 2016 to September 2017.The RBIJ is involved in a very rural area where people need mixing of cultures and intercultural dialogue to open their mind and change their point of view about society. The volunteers therefore have the mission to go to meet young people and the local population to promote the Eramsus + program in order to inspire young people to experience mobility, and create debate in the public space.Concretely, the volunteers will have the following missions:- To organise activities with pupils in 3 secondary schools and a high school in Brenne- To organise a half-day training on European mobility and representations and stereotypes in Services civiques trainings (about ten a year)- To set up specific events in schools (European week in St Gaultier secondary school with teachers, week journalism about discovering the world in high school)- To hold a weekend with European volunteers from the Region Centre Val de Loire- To host and inform young people wanting to do an EVS- To communicate about Europe related activitiesThe two volunteers have different complementary profiles: the first one is a 26 years old Italian from rural area graduated in accounting and currently unemployed. He works as seasonal worker in a mini club, he has an entertainment experience in organization of recreational activities. He doesn't know the Erasmus + program well and has never participated in mobility activities. The second is a Slovak girl. She is 25 years old. She has a master history ans theory of art and currently works in a regional museum. She has already participated in several mobilities with Erasmus +. She is more experienced in organising events than in animation. Both are active in their sending organization. They do not speak French. The expected impacts of the project are the open-mindedness to foreigners of the youth and the local population and the promotion of Europe as a vector of opportunity for youth and friendship between people.
