The PROMETEO project is designed to promote vocational guidance and training at the workplace with a view to implementing a training process that integrates training activities at a training organisation and work experience in firms. To this end the project will develop an integrated training model for traineeships which should make it possible to use innovative support methodologies for the trainee and the company tutor as well as a tutorial system which will focus on support at work; the model should provide support at grass roots level. The products will include open and distance training modules and two CD-ROMs addressed to trainees and company tutors.The product beneficiaries will be trainees and young people entering working life, training organisations and SMEs. The strategy of disseminating the project results provides for a dedicated Internet site; seminars presenting the results, and an information letter/newsletter.
