Projektmanagement für interkulturelle Austauschprojekte in Europa
Start date: Feb 1, 2016, End date: Dec 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

European exchange projects are part of our school concept. We do not want to stay still. We want to improve the intercultural competences of our collegues. We can learn from our previous intercultural contacts a lot about other cultures, but also about us and this we can give to our students.A few of them have traveled with teachers to other europen countries. We hope, that during the seminars the participants have the opportunity to meet potencial project partners and plan with them new school exchanges.Project goals:In our primary school the student exchange has proved successfully. Improved project management skills should now help to enhance the intercultural skills of the college.Number and profile of the project participants:The four participating teachers are already involved over a longer period in the student exchange program and are strongly interested in improving their skills in international project management and enhance their intercultural skills. They are willing to continue their education abroad with regard to this requirement. Even further courses are planned, which enables them to express themselves better in foreign languages. Their current language skills are sufficient up to satisfactory. These four persons are members of Erasmusplus team of our school and want to act as mentors in our school (or neighboring school). Their commitment to the European idea will have a positive impact to the colleagues, students and parents. For the colleagues: they feel like "European school", for the students: they will be surprised with new ideas in the classroom-work and for the parents: they too will be open-minded and learn many new things about other cultures through their children.Description of measures:Participation in intercultural project management training, participation in international language courses.Methodology for project implementation:By participating in the training seminar to improve project management skills, the College will have the opportunity to increase its intercultural skills. This is in effect which works into the lessons.Furthermore, it should not remain an exception to get in international contact to other countries. The Erasmusplus-team should establish regular contacts to other countries.Description of expected results and impact and potential long-term benefits:As mentioned above, the establishing regular international contacts is a goal that is supported by the seminar on project management in intercultural exchange. We hope that this seminar as well helps, that we can organize more interesting and effective project work.It should also serve as motivation to continue international and intercultural working. Because participants of a seminar relaunched already established structures, the participants can give even more enthusiasm for the European idea with their knowledge to their collegues. The teaching staff of our school will be inspired even more for european projects. Also this will benefit the students, as we have seen, in many areas such as the social question or the foreign language area, their intercultural knowledge and tolerance towards unknown countries will be extended. All these efforts should help to protect the peace in Europe.
