Project Management for European Sustainable Development - PM4ESD

PM4ESD partnership is a multiplayer partnership, composing 8 partners representing five different countries. The consortium includes: one Municipality (Frigento), two Smes (QRP MMI, JLag), two Chambers of Commerce (Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce (which is also not for profit), Istanbul Chamber of Commerce), one University (University of Lodz), two non profit training organizations (Scuola Camigliati and Auxilum). The partnership has chosen Prince2 (PRojects IN Controlled Environments) as it is a de facto standard used extensively by the UK Government and is widely recognised and used in the private sector, both in the UK and internationally. The partnership will innovate the methodology adapting Prince2 to new context, specific sectors and target groups. The key word in the innovation process is: sustainability.The strategic objectives of PM4ESD are:A) to adapt and transfer the existing PRINCE2 project management methodology in two ways: 1) To adapt Prince2 and create a tailored project management methodology in tourism and cultural sectors; 2)To test, to validate and transfer the methodology within European Regions (Italy, Poland, Austria) and one Associated Country (Turkey).B)To support improvements in quality in vocational education and training systems, institutions and practices involved in tourism and cultural sectors.C) to support the European sustainable development of the tourism and cultural sectors developing training tools and materials for Vet systems
