Project management for cross-cultural exchange projects in Europe

Changes in the social environment (keyword migration) have led to changes from a regional labour markets into an European labour market and thus to changes in the requirements for our school. Our school aims to prepare students for Europe and the European labour market - not only by compulsory practical work training, but also by other projects. For this reason the intercultural skills and project management skills of the teachers college in terms of an Europe open school should be significantly improved, for example by intercultural training courses and project management training courses. During the joint visit of the courses with teachers from other countries the intercultural learning not only takes place during the seminar time but also throughout the week. For that reason our teachers have the opportunity to meet potential project partners and to have the opportunity to discuss and plan school exchanges, e-twinning or other projects. Project objectives: - Improving the intercultural skills and project management skills of the teachers college - Promote understanding of the diversity of European cultures and the values in the participating schools - Enhance the understanding of students with international origin, also in terms of handling options Number and profile of participant: The two participating teachers should: - Be willing to retrain abroad. - Have sufficient language skills. - Be willing to work for European ideas in the teachers college and with the students. - Be open to integrate the idea of Europe in the classroom. - Enhance their understanding in Europe matters permanently Description of the measures: Participation in intercultural project management training courses Methodology for project implementation: Through the training activity intercultural competences for teaching in in the classroom should be increased and better management skills of the teachers should be enhanced.. Description of the expected results and impact and potential long-term benefits: Through the experience, we expect that the motivation for intercultural learning is enhanced resulting in a more effective organization of European projects. Furthermore we expect an even bigger consent of the teaching staff to European projects. The students should expand the cross-cultural, linguistic and social skills in the project . They also should be better prepared to meet the actual requirements of the European and international labour market.
