The academic mobility project is being included in the internationalization strategy of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova (UMFCV). The objectives of the project aimed at increasing the international mobility at the UMFCV (as a quantitative objective) as well as the enrichment of the academic curricula after the experience exchange between the project participants ( as a qualitative objective). The project included incoming mobilities from the Mutah University partner from Karak, Jordan to the UMFCV for 5 members of the teaching staff. Out of the 5 incoming mobilities, 3 mobilities were teaching mobilities, and the other 2 mobilities were training mobilities. The teaching mobilities included 8 hours of teaching for every participant in the field ophthalmology, molecular biology and biochemistry. The training mobilities were developed in the field of pediatrics and Ear-Nose-Throat (ENT). Teaching and training activities were developed in English. The meetings between Jordan participants teaching staff and the teaching staff of the UMFCV occasioned fruitful discussions about modernization of the academic curricula and intensification of cooperation between the two partner universities. Every project participant also presented his/her concerns and activities in the field of scientific research in order to identify the possibility of initiating joint research activities. For a long run, we hope to see concrete joint academic results (such as training programs, scientific papers and research projects).
