Project summary The project was developed in collaboration with the Consulting Centre for Vocational Education ADC College in London. The main objective of the project was to promote the mobility of students education in fields IT & Media and Retail. Internship was attended by 15 students in these fields of study and two accompanying persons. The receiving organization ensured contracts for securing internships, accommodation for trainees in Host families, half board service, practice in profetional companies by field of education and language skills of trainees, local transport and mentoring. Sending organizations ensured the selection of participants, language and vocational training of participants, insurance, transport to the place of internship and back. The internship was scheduled for 14 days. This time was sufficient for students first acquaintance with the working environment in the UK. . The internship in professional companies in London allowed students deepening and verifying of their professional competence, language skills and personal competence (adaptability, communication skills, independence and creativity) in different cultural and professional environment and gained new job knowledge, experience and skills. There were used principles of the ECVET in the project, it was signed Memorandum of Understanding and Learning Agreement. Students in field of education Retail worked in specified shops with various assortments of goods, students in field of education Graphic Design worked in printing company, graphic studios and advertising agencies. Students gained in the course of internships professional competence (were formulated in Units of Learning Outcomes), language skills, and also these competence, knowledge and skills: • Gaining work experience in accordance with the field of education trainees in a foreign country • Increasing confidence and business skills in professional environment • Understanding intercultural differences and opening their minds to other cultures • Business communication in a multicultural environment • Solving challenging situations independently • Ability to establish priorities • Ability to work both independently and as a team member Rating of the trainees was based on a Memorandum of Understanding by hosting organizations and the school accepted the rating when assessing students in vocational subjects. At the end of internship students received ADC College Certificate of completion the internship and Europass Mobility. These documents can be used by students when including the domestic or European labor market. School information and gained experiences from the internship utilized when supplementing school curriculum, so that graduates who leave school, were the most equipped mainly by professional and language competence, that employers prefer when adopting graduates. Education is the best investment against social exclusion and inequality. Thanks to it, the students gain basic skills, learn how to become active members of society and helping to create a cohesive society. Therefore, the international cooperation is essential in that it helps students to gain a good education, find their dream job and contribute to the running of the company, which is one of the main objectives of the mobility of students.
