Progresivní formy ekoturistiky nyní a v budoucnosti
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

“The Progressive forms of ecotourism” project is nowadays and in future focused on the training of tourism university students aiming to find a job in an increasingly demanding professional world both in short and long term. The project is based on ecotourism, which offers promising trends in tourism, which are still missed and form a gap on the local jobs market. On this purpose our school has connected with several partner schools in different destinations. The selection has been carefully considered. Tourism brings high profit in countries as Italy and Portugal. Slovakia, Romania and Poland are countries of the former “Eastern bloc” with developed tourism, and Macedonia is developing ecotourism intensively. Chosen destinations, where the internships took place, have ideal natural conditions. For that reason our school in cooperation with each partner school entered into a Memorandum of Understanding, Learning agreements, developed a teaching unit and agreed on ECVET system. Students of the 2nd and 3rd college grades, partner schools and travel agencies of the particular destinations were involved in the project. Since two months before leaving for an internship there occurred a negative atmosphere against migrants in the European Union, 4 students of the 2nd grade signed out. Only the 1st grade students were interested, therefore they participated in internships and fulfilled the set tasks - creating ecotourism itineraries. At the beginning of the internship they were introduced to the specific eco-touristic possibilities in a given destination, natural heritage and the influence of climate, specific levels of accommodation, catering and transport services with traditional habits. In the practical part, leaded by the partner organizations they developed a detailed eco-touristic itinerary, which was used for testing the route and verifying its quality. After they presented the complex and got feedback from abroad, they got two credits for seminars on graduate work and credited for the subject Sustainable development and rural tourism. After returning from the internship they presented the eco-touristic itinerary at an afternoon workshop on April 18, 2016. During the workshop it was stated that the routes, which formed the student’s business project in a graduate work are not offered by any travel agency in our country or abroad. This product each trainee created has the potential to succeed in the offer of euroweekends and the student gets a chance to obtain a job. At the conference, May 9, 2016, it was confirmed that the focus of eco-touristic routes created by trainees are unique, fresh and attractive, and have a great chance for their actual implementation; and that the Czech and European Union’s labor market, they will belong to the professional category of Guide for the region, where they completed their internship, because during the placement they have already created a special commentary for visitors with characteristic features and particularities of the region both in English and Czech. The results of the internship will be used to upgrade a number of subjects and to strengthen the European dimension with emphasis on understanding and respecting the nation, its cultural traditions and interests. The general public will be informed about the results on our website and websites of participating schools, social networks, open days and in magazines. The professional public has already been informed about the benefits of the internships at the conference and will be informed about the results in professional magazines.
