The Educational resource Center in University College Lillebaelt (CFU) has a strategic plan for 2020 that focuses on making the work of the institution more international and digital oriented. Therefore, CFU would like to improve the cooperation with primary and secondary schools (Folkeskoler) in the region of Lillebaelt, especially focusing on these two elements. This consortium application is an attempt to fulfill this. In the new national curriculum for the Danish primary and secondary schools, coding has become a new demand for several subjects. The teachers and school principals call for didactic and pedagogical support of the teachers to integrate coding in different subjects in the everyday lessons. CFU wishes to support the teachers in getting the educational support they need, to fulfill the national curriculum and to become aware of the different resources that exist teaching coding at different levels and in different subjects. Furthermore, the new school reform demands that the Danish schools become more international oriented. By making this project CFU wishes to improve the teachers awareness of Erasmus + and eTwinning and to support the teachers start international school projects. With this project, 22 teachers representing different levels and subjects from Danish primary and secondary schools, and two of CFU´s educational advisors get the chance to take a course about coding in England. All teachers are committed to create lesson plans and carry out projects about coding at their schools. Furthermore, the teachers shall use eTwinning to start international school contacts with the purpose of making international school projects about coding. Beside the course, CFU together with the teachers will start a teachers´ network for coding with the purpose of developing lesson plans and ideas for how to use coding in different subjects. The outcome will be shared in a Google + group making it available for all teachers having the interest of taking part.
