PROFESSIONAL PARTNERSHIPS FOR INCLUSIVE EDUCATION

The right to equal education et lifelong training for persons with disabilities is one of the fundamental rights duly mentioned in all international charters and conventions, namely confirmed in the International UN Convention on the rights of the disabled people (signed March 30, 2007), currently under ratification process, in the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights' Article 14, the June 10, 1994 Council of Ministers' Salamanca Statement, the current EU Action Plan, diverse statements from the Council of Europe. This program targets different groups of professionals (educational/social) with one main purpose and long term objective: not to make any decision without taking the people concerned into consideration first, according to this EDF statement: 'Nothing about us without us'. The commitment of all professionals is crucial. The aim of this program proposal is to elaborate a sustainable toolkit focussing on good practice and implementation methods of inclusive education and identification all facilitating development means.
