PROfessional development of the ACTors involved in the social economy sector

In Europe, the social economy sector is increasingly playing a more important role in the social and economic lives of its citizens. However this sector is largely composed of lots of small size organisations with employees/volunteers and managers with little or few experience regarding the management and professional development of their organisation required to meet new expectations. The professional development of this sector is therefore very important and needed in order to strengthen current jobs and create new ones. PROACT seeked to respond to and address these problems and needs. The project has indeed allowed improving and strengthening skills of 66 actors involved in the social economy sector in Europe by implementing pilot trainings in 5 partner countries (FR, CZ, IT, PT, UK). Moreover, this project has also reinforced the partner organisations by designing and implementing a training of trainers. This training has allowed increasing knowledge and skills of 11 trainers in organizational capacity-building.The main products of this project are 2 training manuals (one for the trainers and one for the trainees) available in the partners languages (FR, CZ, IT, PT and UK).The final dissemination conference organized in France (Bordeaux) in September 2014 (with 100 persons attending the meeting!) with the PROACT patners was a real success and allowed to present the project results to a large public.
