Zespół Szkół Rolniczych in Grzybno was accomplishing the Erasmus Project : ‘Professional internship in Spain – the key to hotelier mobility’ under The Operational Program Knowledge, Education, Development (POWER no 2014-1-PL01-KA102000030) co-financed by the European Social Fund. The participants of the project were 12 students of the second and third grade of technical Hotelier School where they have been studying for 4 years on daily basis. The aims of the project were thoroughly focused on increasing the level of key competences and professional skills due to core curriculum and teaching program for hospitality technician. The Project Partner was an experienced Spanish company which participates in European mobility projects EUROPROYECTOS LEONARDO DA VINCI CORDOBA, S.L. The place of the internship were Spanish hotels located nearby Cardoba. The monthly internship took place from 2nd to 29th June 2015. During the internship students gained skills concerning planning and working at the hotel reception, such as checking in, checking out, handling arriving and departing guests in accordance with the European standards. They acquired knowledge and abilities with serving the guests and dealing with the Mediterranean dishes and beverages belonging to the area of apprenticeship. As a result of the project the students have gained the ability of working in an international team, improved language skills in the practical terminology and professional abilities which increase mobility and develop personalities. The assessment of the acquired skills was conducted by representatives of the host organizations in the apprenticeship place and by teachers of vocational subjects after the return. Each project participant received Europass Mobility Cerftificate and diplomas confirming acquired skills. All activities within the framework of the project also contributed to the improvement of the school image and importance for the local community by meeting the educational needs in the changing economy.
