Vocational Training and Competence Centre "Riga School of Design and Art" (VTCC „RSDA”) is planning to make a network with the other organizations related to arts and design, educational institutions and companies in the Baltic States and European Union.This cooperation will lead to successful exchange of knowledge and skills. It will help VTCC „RSDA” integrate into entire environment of region and European education, promoting the principles of good competition, not only in the Latvian level but also in the international area.3 partner organisations will participate in the project "Development of Professional Skills in Design and Art" and they are: "Kuressaare Ametikool" (Kuressaare, Estonia), "Tartu Kunstikool" (Tartu, Estonia) and the applicant organisation Vocational Training and Competence Centre "Riga School of Design and Art" (Riga, Latvia).The main objective of VTCC „RSDA” project "Development of Professional Skills in Design and Art" is to improve professional skills of learners and teachers in design and art in the context of the Baltic States such as getting new experience, improving language competences, acquiring new technologies, discovering and showing educators and young professionals the role of neighbouring cultures, specific characteristics of design, material combination of basic elements and variation of choice.5 teachers and 6 learners from different VTCC „RSDA” educational programmes will participate in the learning mobility. Selection of participants will be made by VTCC „RSDA” that will announce an application procedure, where applicants on the basis of voluntary will submit their applications: educators are required to submit their self-esteem and motivation letter, learners - creative work portfolio and motivation letter.Project scheduled duration is 16 months, and the main activities are divided into four periods:1) September, October, November 2016: selection of participants, coordination with the partner organizations about mobility activities of the project and training programme.2) December 2016, January, February 2017: preparation of participants, practical arrangements (e.g. travel, insurance, accommodation, safety, etc.).3) March, April, May, June, July, August 2017: implementation of mobility in two flows. In the first stream 3 teachers and 4 learners will go to Kuressaare Ametikool, in the second stream 2 teachers and 2 learners will go to Tartu Kunstikool. Duration of teacher mobility is one week, learner mobility - one month. During the mobility teachers will observe the working process of partner organisation, acquire knowledge of new teaching methods or tools and new skills in using technologies in the learning process. Learners will get acquainted with the learning process of partner organisations, learn new technologies and will have training in enterprises which have cooperation with partner organisation.4) September, October, November, December 2017: summarization of the experience and dissemination of the project`s results in VTCC „RSDA”.As a result of the project all the participants will obtain new international experience, professional competence will be reinforced and developed in the area of design and art industry, language competences will be improved. It is important that the cooperation of neighbour countries will be strengthened within educational and art/design area by promoting the development of the Baltic networks in the future.The dissemination activities of the project results are intended as a presentation day in VTCC "RSDA" for all persons interested in VTCC "RSDA" experience of Erasmus+ mobility programme. All experience stories will be published in VTCC "RSDA" website in the section of international experience in Latvian and English, as well as all information related to the Erasmus+ project activities will be updated in website during the project.Project expected impact is to promote good professional qualifications and prepare the learners for the labour market or further education, ensure school recognition at national and international level. International project experience provides an opportunity to indirectly transfer gained knowledge to other learners and the teaching staff and to public in general, attracting further participants and new possible partners in Latvia and abroad.
