The development and globalization of the economy and the advanced new technologies, set new requirements to the vocational education. A new type of training of Economics specialists, corresponding to the modern requirements and standards of the labor market is needed. The Internship is an important step towards the implementation of the acquired professional knowledge and skills in a real working environment, for consistency between vocational education and job requirements.The objectives set by The Professional High School of Economics "Prof. Dr. Dimitar Tabakov" - Sliven with the realization of the project "Professional skills at European level through practice in a real working environment", are in accordance with the European Union strategy "Europe 2020" and "The strategy for development of vocational education and training in Bulgaria for the period 2015 -2020", namely:• upgrading, expanding and improving the professional knowledge and skills through practice in a real working environment;• promotion of the mobility and increasing the attractiveness of the vocational education;• enrichment of the language competences and using the language for professional purposes;• introduction to the culture, traditions, way of life and work in another European country;• increasing the chances of success in the profession and improving the competitiveness of the European labor market.The target group consists of 20 students, from 11th grade, at the stage of initial vocational education, majoring in "Banking", "Operational Accounting", "E-commerce", "Business Administration", "Economics and management", who are trained in the professions financier, operational accountant, organizer-Internet applications, office-manager and economist. Until the time of the mobility, the students of these specialties have gained initial theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the studied professions.A significant part of the students feel insecure in terms of knowledge, skills and competencies, insufficiently trained and oriented to begin work in the profession and need additional training to find a job and be competitive. The participation of the students in internship programmes in a real working environment, in another European country, will improve their practical and foreign language skills and will prepare them for the dynamic European labor market and the requirements of modern professions and specialties.The preparation of the mobility will take place in Bulgaria from 01.09.2016 until 01.04.2017. The activities at this stage are: coordination of the programme with the partner organization; signing a contract, including obligations of the sending and host partner; information and selection of the participants; signing contracts with the participants; linguistic, cultural, professional and pedagogical preparation; travel arrangements.Two weeks of training practice will be held in Barcelos, Portugal, from 03.04.2017 until 14.04.2017, in collaboration with Associação Intercultural Amigos da Mobilidade. All relationships with the partner are pre-regulated in the Letter of Intent. The practical training of the students will be implemented in three companies, offering practice in a real environment that meet the needs of the target group - Serviços de Contabilidade (an accounting office), Escola Secundaria de Barcelos (a school administration) and Tranquilidade (an insurance company). A description of the organizations with the names of the mentors and the activities that will take place during the practice are attached to the Letter of Intent. The evaluation of the acquired knowledge and skills and the students’ progress will be made by the partner, the mentor of the students at the specific workplace and the supporting teachers.Dissemination of the results will take place in Bulgaria from 16.04.2017 to 31.08.2017. The activities at this stage are: results publication/ School Web site, information boards, local press, electronic media, Facebook/; a seminar for dissemination of the results; a brochure about the project and its results; promotional materials with the logo of the programme; participation and presentation of the project in information meetings, career days and seminars in the field of education.The results, impact and long-term benefits of the project are:• establishing long-term relationships in order to exchange ideas, best practices, experience in training and qualified specialists;• understanding and respect among EU citizens;• promotion of the culture, customs, traditions and national identity through participation in European projects;• the participation of students in the processes of mobility will contribute to social cohesion and mutual understanding in a society characterized by greater multicultural and multi-ethnic diversity.
