„Profesionalios aplinkos Prienų rajono mokyklose kūrimas“

In order to improve teaching quality all in consortium participating general education (12) and pre-school education (1) schools of Prienai Region (total – 13 institutions) indicated qualification improvement of teachers and school leaders (headmasters) as priorities in their 2016-2018 strategical plans for particular aspects. The most frequent ones are individual pupil progress, teaching attitudes and methods, a dialogue between a teacher and a pupil. Desirable alterations of teaching quality are going to be achieved applying encouragement of team working and implementation of leadership principles. Considering this, the problem was defined, which is to be solved during the project activities: creating more professional environment inside of schools as organizations, strengthening their preparation to integrate new teaching/learning methods into daily activities. On purpose to solve this problem we have defined the aim of our project: to create professional environment in Prienai Region Schools strengthening internationality and providing better possibilities for qualification improvement, which satisfies personal needs and aims of an organization. During the implementation of project activities participants would have a possibility to attend the courses of qualification improvement on various topics, which they would choose according to their personal qualification improvement needs and the needs of qualification improvement related with organizations’ strategies (individual pupil progress, teaching attitudes and methods, a dialogue between a teacher and a pupil, encouragement of team working and leadership). Later, each of participants applying the competencies gained in the courses will prepare an alteration project and evoking colleagues will implement it in his/her institution. In accordance with project results, 4 qualification improvement programmes will be prepared which will correspond with attended courses topics and integrated experience of project participants preparing and implementing alteration projects. In such a way organized project activities will be directed towards not onetime qualification improvement, but also towards collective improvement activities, which allow the improvement not only separate organizations (consortium members), but regional education system as well.
