Pro-European efforts of teachers as a role model for young Kashubian generation.One of the basic priorites of the Erasmus + Programme School Education under the Key Action 1, is the improving teachers' professional profiles. This principle suits perfectly into the needs of our school.We are a minor education institution with rich 65-years tradition, strongly connected to the cultural inheritance of the region. Our staff has great qualiffications which has been proved by high examination results. Nevertheless we are aware that plain knowledge will not assure the efficent start into adult life. If we want our students to become conciderate and active citizens in society, teachers must provide a worth imitating, proper role model. We aim to transform into more active, creative, open to the modern world challenges and courageus in action professionals. Our project is the outcome of this basic need.The mobility project involves thirteen teachers (including the head teacher) with the diversified lenght of working experience. The staff is united in the inner need to improve their proffesional qualifications in coherence with international dimension of education. We plan to participate in various training courses, both methodical and linguistic. The carefully chosen trainings will result in gaining and implementing the innovative methods of teaching in our school. It will foster the quality improvements and innovation excellence. Consecutively, it will affect our students' effectiveness in gaining the key cross-cutting competences: linguistic, digital and critical thinking. We believe that these are the basic competences in the European dimention of education. Linguistic trainings play a sigfnificant role in our mobility project. According to this, it has been planned to engage nine teachers into linguistic courses. The added value of these trainings is the opportunity to gain authentic skills and immerse in natural communicative environment. Consequently, it will lead to overcoming the language barrier. Finally, it will benefit through teachers' active participation in implementing the changes that has been identified in the European Develoment Plan such as: -the introduction of the new approach for learning content through the language (CLIL method),- the improvement of the international dimension in education which should effect in building network in international contacts; also the promoting of the school and Kashubian region- raising the active participation in society and developing a sense of european citizenship and identity-engaging the whole staff into cooperation within the eTwinning platform and its projects We have also planned to participate in Erasmus+ Strategic Partnerships. Therefore, the head teacher will take a part in a training course which aims to improve the practical skills of designing and managing the project.In order to participate in trainings more efficiently, it has been planned to provide linguistic and inter-cultural preparation for staff mobilities. During the courses the mentoring and supervising arrangements will be provided.Once the project has finished, we hope to foster the excellence in education through the implementation of the project results such as innovative methods of teaching, good experiences and practice. We plan to present our project result to the local community, mostly neighboring educational institutions and encourage them to follow our example. Furthermore we aim to share our experiences with the wide community through social media as well as other Internet tools. We hope to promote the international dimension of education and enhance inter-cultural understanding and a sense of belonging to European community.
