The project that I wish to take part in is an Immersive teaching and learning experience in France where it is hoped that I will learn new methodologies and approaches to teaching French in the Primary School. As a teacher in a Primary school, who has already taken a small step towards teaching French, I believe that this course will give me the information and learning I need to become more confident in using the language on a daily basis, embedding it into the curriculum but also to bring authentic French learning to the children in our school.the objectives of the project will be to gain this confidence by speaking and conversing in French which would not happen here and to achieve a greater knowledge of the cultural and social aspects of the country itself. I w ill be participating on the course on my own but I have taken this step on my own too after looking at the activities which the course will cover over the 6 days. I believe the overall impact of the project will be one where my own use of the language will improve as well as my confidence in using it in the classroom.
