The local school has more than forty year tradition, on her improving quality is working a team of qualified teachers. The aim of the school is to raise the professional competence of teachers and their readiness for changes from the point of view of modernization and internationalization of the educational institutions and the improvement of quality in teaching and learning. We want to achieve this goal by using mobility project that targets activities in three main areas: 1. International cooperation, international relations, development cooperation 2.-new technologies-digital ICT skills 3. teaching and learning of foreign languages International cooperation we achieve several years by using smaller projects in the area of eTwinning. In the autumn of last year we created a project "Chess friends." The project is involved in a number of schools from Greece, Spain, Poland and Slovakia. By mutual communication of teachers and students of this schools, we learn about cooperative activities in the field of chess and chess duels in individual countries of our students. Why chess? Our school has a five-year tradition as a school involved in project "Chess for school" and we began to achieve excellent results in the framework of our city and region. Contribute, in particular, our students, which was confirmed by the high IQ and educated in classes for gifted children, particularly in the project APROGEN. Working with these students requires a different approach, since there is often manifested in educational problems. Just Chess helps us because it increases the intelligence of children and contributes to them in the field of attention, imagination, foresight, patience and thought, comparison of options, abstract thinking or planning. Work on the project are dedicated to teachers of primary and secondary schools, who should participate in mobility, a total of eight teachers. All teachers are graduates of an accredited training work in eTwinning. The second area to which our project is focusing is acquisition of skills and the use of ICT in their work, which is a prerequisite for the work of the management in the Twin Space. The third area in which we want to focus on is teaching and learning of foreign languages, which enables us to improve practical language of teachers who have completed further education teachers school at first instance in the field of foreign languages-English language. Thanks mobility these teachers are trained in the framework of the visit in the ELO chess club in Valletta in Malta "Malta Chess Federation" and in the search for partners for our students study at the language school "School of Language" in a range of 20 lessons a week Easy for two weeks of mobility. A group of teachers from the second stage of our school which will participate in mobility during the months of September to April visit Chess Club "Canterbury Junior Chess Club", and a two-week language course in the range of 25 lessons per week in Canterbury. European multilingualism is a necessity and is inseparable from the multiculturalism, i.e. from the understanding of and respect for the cultures and their otherness. This intercultural competence must first acquire teachers then pass it on to the students but not separately from foreign language by means of history, traditions and curiosities of life in other countries. At this point, the lean on European development plan and it is a part of broader and long-term strategy for the development and modernization of our school.
