Praxou v zahraničí k zvyšovaniu kvality školy
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

From the long-term view of the labour market development, the fresh graduates of business academies will always be required. The employers demand graduates who are professionally well-prepared. The researches carried out lately uncovered the lack of skills of graduates to work individually, to solve the problems, and the research realized among the students of 3rd and 4th grades just supported, that the compulsory professional experience is mostly formal and does not bring along any expected results. For that reason we have decided to improve the quality of already stated subject by means of the project Praxis abroad improves the school quality and by that the quality of school and its general image at the regional level as well. The very main objective of our school is to achieve improvement of graduates’ unemployment index (see UPSVaR). The total planned number of participants is 34; the number of students is 30. More than 50% of our students comes from the surrounding areas of Bratislava – they do not have the permanent place of living in Bratislava; and it is this group that has been monitored carefully, and has no will to take part in any type of mobility to undergo some professional experience. In case of participating these students on the foreign labour market, this particular personal experience with work abroad can help them break the stereotypes and enhance their interests in various work positions, where they will be able to completely embrace and apply adapted skills, education and help them get rid of fear and worries of mobility. The planned praxis will be held in 2 fortnight turns – 10/2015 and 5/2016 for the students of 3rd and 4th grades in London and Havířov, while 10 students will be sent to London and 20 students to Havířov; 4 teachers will go as pedagogical guides. The main activity is to practise professional praxis in enterprises and organisations set in London and Havířov. The students sent to Havířov will improve their soft skills in the real corporate environment on the daily basis and professional competences with emphasis on oral and written communicational abilities, archiving accounting documents, elaborating salaries and keeping the evidence of contracts. The priority to those taking part in London will be development of soft skills by realising commercial assets, marketing activities in English language. By usage of modern office equipment and computer software the students will adopt new skills and knowledge. The project will be held in the first and second turn according to the scheduled plan with applying project methods so that every student will accomplish stated goals. They key methods will include solving the problem situations and motivational challenges. The second and third realised turns will include elaborated and implemented proposals of students and teachers for improving organisation and the process of mobility. The total result of the project will be professional praxis abroad; in the number of 30 students. The quantitative results will be represented by the number of students who obtain Europas Mobilita and certificates (the assumption of 30 students). Another result will be attested methodology ECVET in praxis – in the process of preparation, realising and evaluating the mobility. The qualitative results will display innovated organisation of teaching the subject – professional praxis; innovated School Educational Programme; in the part of the graduate’s profile as well as implementing of new forms and methods into the process of teaching. The essential impact of realising the project will be manifestedin the reinforcement of competence of project team and extending conceptual and organisational competences of participated teachers – 4 teachers, who will implement new forms and methods of education process into professional subject, what will be manifested in the final results and temporal horizon by decreasing the number of unemployed fresh graduates (see UPSVaR). The innovations within the field of professional praxis will bring our students - in the long term - a potential to prepare for the current national and international labour market.
