Completing a short period training at the foreign school "St. Georg-Kolleg Istanbul" offers teachers on duty the possibility of finding out more about this particular school form. Mainly students of the host country, whose mother tongue, in most cases, ist not German, are taught there. Participants of this program will gain insight into the culture of the country and many monitor approved teaching methods in subjects like German as a foreign language as well as German in special language lessons. Furthermore an active and professional exchange between host teachers and teachers of the „St. Georg-Kolleg Istanbul“ is going to take place. Regarding this both parties are able to develop new experiences. On behalf oft the „BHAK/BHAS Lustenau“ only our chairman of our staff association Mr. Prof. MMag Andreas Fischer will visit the “St. Georg-Kolleg Istanbul”. Through an active and professional exchange of information, discussions and work shadowing as well as through ordinary conversation between teachers and pupils it’s possible to gain new perspectives and knowledge concerning various questions and problems. As a result this could lead to a better school atmosphere within the “BHAK/BHAS Lustenau”, to a better integration of the pupils of Turkish origin and furthermore this could increase the quality of school in total.
