The project entitled: "Training with taste" is addressed to second year students from gastronomy and catering services school at Zespol Szkol Zawodowych in Wolow. It will be organized a 2 - weeks placement in gastronomy establishments in Osterodeam Harz in Germany in October 2014. The project will be attended by 16 students from our school. The aim of the project is to increase and expand professional competence, learning a trade language as well as learning about the culture, traditions, methods of work organization in enterprises in Germany. The achievement of the objectives of the project will enable participants to gain a competitive advantage in seeking an employment. The project provides for the following activities: Before starting a placement in Germany, students will participate in language and cultural trainings and in preparation for activity on German labor market. Classes will be conducted in workshop methods. During a placement students will improve core skills and competence for the profession. After returning students will receive a EuropassMobility document, honored in the European Union, confirming the completion of training abroad and acquiring their skills. One of the result will be personal development of students, broaden their world outlook horizons. They will gain knowledge about the culture of work in Germany, which potentially increase their mobility both at national and European labor market. After completing the placement, students will prepare and serve German cuisine. They will acquire skills in planning and organization of work in a food service. They also will know and apply the rules and procedures for sanitation. Apart from that they will be able to prepare the room for guest service. Students will increase their ability to learn foreign languages and overcome barriers in daily communication. The acquired experience will raise the level of education of the beneficiaries and their competitiveness on the labor market. Potential long-term benefits are: increasing motivation in foreign languages learning among the other students of the school, the continuation of cooperation with a partner school, sharing their knowledge and experience in the guidance and culinary blog.
