Praktyki w zagranicznych przedsiębiorstwach przyszłością kwidzyńskiej młodzieży.
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project entitled "Praktyki w zagranicznych przedsiębiorstwach przyszłością kwidzyńskiej młodzieży"(ang. Traineeship in foreign enterprises - the future of the Kwidzyn youth), concerned a four-week internship for second and third year VET learners at ZSP 2 in Kwidzyn training to become hotel, gastronomy, tourism or paper industry technicians. The internship took place in Ubeda and Seville (Spain) in April 2016. A group of 20 students participated in it and they were accompanied by 2 vocational subject teachers. The students were assigned to companies in accordance with their field of vocational school training. Gained work experience in an overseas company will facilitate their professional development, which was the major objective of the project. Our students had the opportunity to improve their command of English, especially for vocational purposes. They also learnt some basic Spanish and got familiar with a new culture. We hope that our school graduates broadened their horizons and increased their mobility on the domestic and foreign job markets, which is especially important, as most of our students live in rural areas. During their stay abroad, the participants of the vocational training project acquired new specialist professional competences, and upon completion of the internship they were awarded Europass Mobility certificate as well as a foreign language course certificate verified by our school and the overseas project partners. The participants of the project became more inter-culturally competent and gained the knowledge and skills which would inspire their professional development and make them more competitive and flexible in view of the changing job market. We also noticed that this experience had mobilized students to continuing their education and increasing their qualifications The length of the internship and the content of its programme were determined in cooperation with our euroMind partner. Our students’ current skills and their field of vocational training were taken into account. As a part of project we shared the acquired knowledge and experience with others. We published some photos along with current reports from the internship, on our school website and on social networking sites. There were multimedia presentations prepared by the project participants, to be made during a plenary session in front of the school community, prospective employers from our part of the country and the county administration representatives.
