„Warcislaw IV” the vocational school in Szczecinek carried out the project "Traineeship in Europe - professional success in Poland" in which 30 schoolboys and schoolgrils, accompagnied by an English-speaking teacher took part in. The program based on the traineeship that took place in London. During three week the future employees of branches such as catering, hospitality and haidressing (10 pupils from every profession.) worked in companies pursuant to their speciality choice. The students were chosen pursuant to the aplication process’ regulations which were based on gender and opportunities equality. The apprenticeship program was fulfilled in cooperation with our foreign partner i.e. ADC College in London. Our partner was responsible for recruting the most suitable internship company for each student and for providing help in accomodation and maintenance of the pupils. Thanks to realization of the traineeship , the main goal of the project, which is an increase of competitiveness of the participants on the labor market, was achieved. Before the departure, the participants received both pedagogical and psychological support. Moreover, they were covered by information in the field of linguistics and multiculturalism. According to the students career path developpment , all participants carried out their traineeship in the most suitable workplaces. Connected with their abilities . The confirmation of those educational achievements were proved by documents: "Europass Mobility" and ADC College certificates. Other project aims that students fulfilled were as follows. First of all, they increased their level of lingual, professional, interpersonal, intrapersonal and cultural competency. Secondly, they increased their English-speaking abilities. Thirdly, they raised their self-esteem. Everyone are very pleased with the completion of traineeship in London and appraise highly its quality. The internships were conducted as a part of the compulsory work practice due to the school curriculum. Students received marks which were entered in their school record. The project implementation was a constant evaluation through visits in places of internship, conversations with participants, analysis of documentation (diaries of practice, weekly reports of participants and questionnaire forms filled in on their return).The evaluation report was drawn up with ADC College as a partner. The accomplishment of the project gave Warcislaw IV vocational school much higher status and this school can be seen as a creative place where the vocational education is prioritized. We spread the results of the project in our community via the Internet, local press and during the meetings at the district office, meetings with employers and with teaching Staff of the school.
