The project "Practical training abroad as a chance for development" is addressed to the students attending Forest Vocational School of Polish Forest Association operating within Forest School Group in Biłgoraj. The project constitutes a response to the identified needs of the students, teaching staff and school management. The duration of the project has been planned for two years, including vocational training for 60 students divided into four groups of 15 students each: I- April 2016. II- September 2016. III- April 2017, IV- May 2017. The host institution is the VFBQ Association - Verein zur Förderung von Beschäftigung und Qualifizierung Bad Freienwalde eV (Association for the Promotion of Employment and Vocational Qualifications) from Bad Freienwalde in Germany. The cooperation between VFBQ Association and Forest School Group in Biłgoraj has been described in the Memorandum. The scope of vocational training will be defined in the Agreement on the Training Curriculum. The fundamental aim of the mobility is to improve the competitiveness of the school graduates in the labor market as a result of: - international verification of existing vocational knowledge and language skills (certification); - improvement of individual abilities to find employment by raising the social-cultural competences; - raising the level of entrepreneurship and professional activities thanks to gained experience; - strengthening the mobility of young people in the initial stage of their professional careers; - familiarizing with various methods of organizing forest management, rules of organization and work culture, team management and administrative tasks. Internships abroad offer new educational situations that are going to be used for the future development of the organization in terms of: - raising the level of teaching-learning process effectiveness and the mastery of key competences; - improving the qualifications of the teaching staff and school management; - improving the organization of the educational process and school management. The expected results of the project will include: • gaining practical experience and skills during training abroad and the transfer of these experiences to the organization of practical training at school and on the Polish labor market, • acquiring new vocational skills and learning about new working methods, • improving the knowledge of a foreign language by its practical use, • better understanding of the social, linguistic and cultural diversity as well as better responding to it; • final assessment of the training according to the European Credit System for Vocational Education and Training (ECVET), • confirmation of the acquired skills with the Europass Mobility Certificate, • reports on the progress of the training, e.g. articles, presentations, photographs. Potentially, the project should produce long-term results: • close cooperation with partners from other countries in terms of practical vocational training and international verification of competence, • organization of the school career center, • making school curricula more attractive, • better quality of the preparation, implementation, monitoring and continuation of the EU projects, • raising the competitiveness of the school graduates in the labor market. The project will be monitored. Furthermore, evaluation activities are expected. The results of the undertaken activities are subject to dissemination.
