The aim of the project was to improve the quality of vocational training through the organization of apprenticeships in Germany for students of vocational education. ZSB students were equipped with additional skills to increase employment opportunities on the European labor market. Teachers have learnt German solutions in the field of vocational training which enhanced the quality and attractiveness of their classes. The apprenticeships were organized in Vitalis Schkeuditz. The target audience were teachers of vocational and technical school, students of construction, gas industry technical school, and technical school of protection of the environment and sanitary equipment students. The main objectives of this project was to get to know and the comparison of: practice comparison: materials and technology, including for the protection of the environment used in other countries, the principles of the organization of work on the construction site, construction documentation, procedures for setting up your own business and the development of the ability to apply their knowledge in specific conditions of a particular construction. Moreover: improving language skills, learning technical vocabulary, establishing contacts and the development of appropriate interpersonal relationships. The project was scheduled for 2014-2016. 4 groups were scheduled to participate in the 2-week training period. The first group departure was from 09-22.11.2014r., the second group - 08-21.03.2015, the third group - 04-17.10.2015 and the fourth group - 06-19.03.2016. In each period a group of 16 students participated, 4 from each of the professions. Practices were held in the workshop of the center and external companies, selected by Vitalis and were agreed with ZSB in Plock. Apprenticeship programmes, deadlines, quantity survey and tasks for each side have been agreed with a foreign partner during the preparatory visit in December 2013. Vitalis provided: internship programmes for the above mentioned professions, intercultural workshops, language training and tours in Saxony, accommodation and meals. The resort in Schkeuditz employs teaching staff, which were holding mentoring. To strengthen the quality of the project in each internship there were two teachers of vocational training from the sending organization. Their task were not only to be focused on ensuring the correctness of the substantive programmes of the internships of students in various professions, but also to explore the methods and forms of organization of vocational training based on the dual system and the materials and technologies used in the construction industry in Germany. So organized internships allowed to use the time fully and the place of a partner in Germany as well as improving the quality of vocational training in ZSB No. 1 in Plock. The youth participating in the project have been learning German at school. The departure of each group were preceded by cultural and linguistic preparation organized by school. In the first days of their stay in Germany – they were being looked after by the staff from Vitalis. At the end of the internship, each student have been evaluated by teachers with personalized card of the assessment of the quality of mobility. "After completing an internship additionally they helped the school professional counselor to plan each student individual career paths with regard to its suitability and interests. Vocational education teachers – the participants of the project acquired professional and pedagogic skills assessment. Quality control of the project have been conducted on a regular basis by all participants, with the constant contact with the management of ZSB No. 1 in Plock. Students and teachers prepared reports from their practice, submitted them and published. The reports were documented the course of the internship and were used for further evaluation of the project. All participants received a certificate and the Europass - Mobility confirming acquired occupational, language, personal and interpersonal skills.
