A group of 16 students from the first, second and third classes with the specialization of tourist services, selected in the recruitment process according to the set rules, from I.J.Paderewski School Complex in Knurow were the participants of the project. The internships lasted four weeks. Participants took part in the internships organized in accommodation establishments, a restaurant, tourist information office and in a museum of olive oil factory in Spain. The project involved partners, with many years of experience, in the organization of professional internships- an intermediary institution Euromind and a vocational school Heineken Espana SA Students accomplished the program of the internships. They took part in the pedagogical-cultural-language program that was the result of cooperation with the foreign partner. The project is to be involved in fighting with unemployment among young people and low-skilled workers, giving them new skills and competencies, promote social capital among young people and strengthen their participation in social life, also by non-formal education. The overall objective of the project was to meet the needs of the participants in the fields of: acquiring practical skills, improving their employability in the European labor market ,accomplishing issues under the program of the practical training at the European level, in particular, learning new trends and comparing them with the technology used in Polish companies, getting professional experience in the new working environment, improving skills and preparing to start their own businesses in the European market, the confrontation of theoretical knowledge with practice in foreign companies, improving foreign language, getting to know the culture and traditions of the region and the country, as well as, making friends, which can result in long friendships. Students participating in the project achieved specific objectives such as: the ability to practical use of the English language, especially in terms of technical vocabulary, the opportunity to learn the methods and techniques of work in foreign enterprises, stimulating creativity and entrepreneurship of the participants, developing teamwork skills ,the ability to adapt to the specific conditions of work in a culturally different environment, increased self-confidence in professional situations. The accomplishment of the project gave students the opportunity to achieve the individual results by raising their key competences thanks to which they increased their mobility and the attractiveness on the labor market. It also raised the quality of vocational education in our school and strengthened the attractiveness of the school on the local market. The project meets the assumptions of the development strategy of tourism in the province of Silesia, whose primary aim is to improve the availability and the quality of tourist services on the basis of a branded product that is urban tourism and cultural activities.
