In the project will participate 34 students and 3 teachers/leaders from schools . About 70 % of potential participants of the programme come from rural areas. The project involves realizing two-week additional vocational training in Greece. Its duration and syllabus are based on the Polish curriculum, considering aims and requirements of education, participants’ needs, preferences and individuality as well as local employers’ expectations. A two-week period of a foreign training is enough to be added to home training, and consequently follow the curriculum in this field. The participants will have the training in Greece. Skills and knowledge received during the practice period and facing new solutions, which are rare in Polish firms ,will let bring these ideas and adopt them in the local job market, so that Polish firms can be equal partners for other European ones. The main aims of the programme are: getting familiar with the conditions of functioning of European logistic and IT companies, increasing practical skills, gaining new professional experience, extending skills in cooperating with an international team, creating the sense of responsibility for the quality of a job being done, improving the participants’ professional mobility ,their ability to fit their skills and qualifications to requirements of the local job market with regard to the conditions of the UE membership. Before the departure students will take part in pre training classes involving 4 major aspects. The first phase is focused on studying professional English as an everyday language ,which will be used while training. Choosing English refers to its wide popularity among foreigners, especially technical staff, what will ease the process of communication. The second step is connected with cultural aspects. In these classes students will be introduced to the location, culture and tradition of the hosting countries, particularly, behaviour and customs in and outside the job surrounding so as to minimise misunderstanding and conflicts caused by cultural differences. There will be also undertaken the pedagogical activities which will present the aims of the programme, and its goals. Students will learn how to deal with stress and adapt to new circumstances. The school will prepare students in the field of professional aspects of the project both, theoretically and practically. The most important expected results of the programme are the following: receiving new professional competence as a precondition of making the graduates more attractive and mobile for the job market, rising awareness of the importance of continuous self educating, improving language and intercultural skills, equalising the level of professional qualification with European standards , and obligatory self development. The effects of the programme will be presented not only in the mentioned school, engaged in the project but they will be available for other individuals, schools and institutions. After the arrival students will be sharing their experience with other students and local community, what will rise their personal and professional prestige as well as the school’s position in the local educational market. Thanks to participating in foreign trainings the school will improve the quality of education, will broaden the range of educational offers and will be perceived as a modern institution . An appropriate demonstration of the training results will influence the growing interests in vocational education showing the benefits of vocational training .
