The project "Practice makes perfect" will be attended by a total of 32 students (aged 17-18), plus two supervisors, from Zespół Szkół Licealno-Technicznych who are trained in the profession of logistics techniques. The topics, plan and substantive scope of the project stem directly from the host organization’s cooperation with the school. The goal for 2016 is the joint development of the project, which is focussed on providing the participants the opportunity to acquire a `real-life` experience in the profession of logistics techniques. Furthermore, with logistics being behind the success of every large company the project will provide a valuable insight into how logisitics works in the workplace. It is worth noting that similar themed projects are often attended by students from other EU countries - Belgium, France, Bulgaria. The result of such projects is that it allows the students to gain and share valuable knowledge and skills in the field of logistics.In addition, the theme of the project was chosen after consultation with the local International businesses " Famak", "Rialex" and "Cuprod". The project directly fulfills the need of the education process and also takes into account the requirements of the employers. The presented design fits directly in the strategy adopted by the school. In school, the strategy is to modernise the teaching base and modify the curriculum. The Erasmus program will provide the student vital contact with modern technologies in addition to the acquisition of practical skills in the work place.During the project, the students enrolled in technical professions, will not only develop their knowledge and skills in a natural environment and give themselves the chance to be competitive in the labour market, but also be able to share this knowledge in what is still a fairly niche sector in our country. This will significantly increase the chance of finding a job when the graduates leave school.The key objectives of the project include: the acquisition of a broad spectrum of professional competences' in the field of broadly understood logistics, knowledge of technological facilities, forwarding , storage and organisational logistics, the acquisition of knowledge and skills in the implementation of specific solutions in particular: inventory and warehousing, transport processes, services and transport forwarding, production planning and distribution, logistics, procurement and production.By participating in the project, the students will improve competence in the use of English and Spanish with an emphasis on vocabulary training. The will acquire a whole range of interdisciplinary skills: the ability to work in an international project group, learn the principles of work organization in enterprises of the logistics industry in Spain, they will acquire the ability to appropriate work and its planning. By participating in the project, students will improve their self-esteem, build confidence, and through certification use their acquired knowledge and skills to become competitive on the labor market.
