Alytus Vocational Training Centre 2014 Erasmus+ programme mobility project „Practical abilities training in Europe“ participate 5 Lithuanian and 5 other EU countries vocational training institutions. Sending partners: Alytus vocational training centre, Kaunas mechanic school, Vilnius automechanic and business school, Vilnius technology and business vocational training centre, Vilnius railway transport and business services school. Host partners: ALVIT innovation learning centre, Iscom Formazione Modena centre, Institute „Infeba“, Lycée Professionnel Gustave Flaubert school, Bildungsberatung & Vermittlungsagentur in Österreich agency. Project participants – IVT group, initial vocational training level students of the final course, learning computer and office equipment operator (13 students), welder (8 students), electric equipment electromechanic (10 students), car body repairer (18 students), international transport commercial freight vehicles driver's (3 students), car electromechanic (23 students), training programmes. This Alytus VTC project is intended to engineering industry direction and this sector related training programmes students for improving of professional competencies based on vocational training standards and experience of the EU countries. The project will improve students professional skills and competencies, develop international cooperation and give possibility to integrate into competitive Lithuanian and the EU labour market more easily in the future. The aims of the project: - to improve students technological knowledge and competencies, increase the competitiveness of future specialists, familiarizing them with the quality of provision of services applied in other EU countries; -to teach students to work safely and efficiently with the newest technics, modern equipment and innovative technologies; - to improve students social and general competencies: international communication, skills of socialization, working in team as well as skills of foreign language; - to develop students international mobility, their ability to evaluate their competencies and integrate themselves into the international labour market; During the project participants will improve not only their competencies working with a modern equipment and tools, but also they will deepen their present competencies and practical skills adapting them to the field of new modern engineering .Students will learn better rely on their strengths, to be self-sufficient, energetic and responsible, to be able to learn constantly, satisfy their knowledge needs, develop communication and cooperation skills. Project participants can define clearer their career plans and perceive that successful employment and career possibilities determine acquired skills and abilities during the learning and internship, factors of labour market, ability to be responsible for the career. The project will be implemented in the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Austria, Italy and Lithuania in 2014-2015. During the internship project participants learn about technique and equipment which are used in host partners vocational schools and companies deepening their professional competencies. They will learn about work culture in the EU countries, requirements of work safety, host country history, culture ,traditions, develop linguistic abilities and professional motivation. The results of the project will be disseminated among Lithuanian vocational schools, Alytus city and district educational institutions, business world, region, the communities of all organizations participating in this project.
