Aalborg Business College (ABC) has internationalisation as an important strategic area. The college wants our commercial vocational students both schoolbased and apprentices and our staff members to enhance their personal and skilled qualifications thus making all grups open and ready for job opportunities on the European labour market.ABC has through a big quality ensurance programme during the last years, where we have had focus on the international dimension. We want future students to find the commercial VET-jobs more attractive which we will do through our increased focus on internationalisation. We believe that through this we will also enhance the students' and staff members' geografical, mental, language and intercultural mobility.ABC will be the sending organisation and the students that we will send in work placements in Germany and Great Britain will be commercial VET-students either schoolbased or apprentices in the areas of retail, wholesale or administration. We wish to send 20 commercial VET-students/apprentices, 4 accompanying teachers and 14 staff members in he mentioned countries..The students will be in 3 week workplacement in a shop, wholesale or office.We have chosen to cooperate with internship agents in the different countries who through our quality system find workplacement companies, colleges and accomodation. The agents must ensure that the students are taking care of before, during and after the workplacement and also monitorthe companies and the students during the stay.We expect the following:ABC: A further international dimension in the commercial VET-educations for both students and staff members, to expand our international contacts, to open the eyes of our studens for job opportunities in the European labour market, to have more commercial VET-students as piu-students in a foreign country.The workplacement companies: That they will achieve closer ties to Denmark and gain an insight in cultural and organisational differences.The students: Will achieve the courage to become piu-students and also achieve language skills, mental, intercultural and geographical mobility.The staff members: To prepare the for jobswops abroad, to enhance their interest in internationalisation, to give them intercultural competences, new knowledge and language skills.
