With the implementation of the project students and teachers from our school will be enabled to learn about the traditions, the experience and achievements of the most advanced of all European countries in the field of organic farming - Italy. They will have the opportunity to directly observe and participate in the production process in a real work environment in leading organic farms in the vicinity of the city of Massa, Tuscany. The goals and objectives of the project are: to improve the quality of vocational education in cooperation with a leading EU country; to acquire additional knowledge and practical skills for working with innovative technologies in the field of organic farming at a real workplace; improving training methods, including the introduction of new approaches in the professional field of organic farming; raising awareness among young people about the production and consumption of organic products and foods, which is the basis for a healthy lifestyle; establishing new social contacts; improving language skills and the ability to work in a team in a multicultural environment; increasing their knowledge of the culture, lifestyle and traditions of the host country; increasing the competitiveness and adaptability of the students on the labor market; familiarization with the best practices and innovations in the modern Italian organic farming; motivation for continuous professional development, improvement and lifelong learning.The project is designed for 20 students from the 10th, 11th and 12th grades of the specialty "Mechanization of agriculture" acquiring the job of "Technician of agricultural machinery." These will be students of different ethnic origins, aged 16-18, from socially disadvantaged families. At school these students receive comprehensive theoretical and practical training in crops and livestock productions as well as agricultural machinery. The students are hardworking and ambitious young people with opportunities and prospects for successful launch and implementation in the agricultural sector both at home and abroad. The implementation of the project will be carried out in partnership with the Agency for Vocational Education Serindform, the city of Massa, the region of Tuscany, Italy. The practical training will take place in various organic farms of family type. The work program includes three weeks (two weeks) practice in the city of Massa for a group of students in April 2017. The group consists of 20 students and two attendants. The practice will include the following thematic areas: introduction to the traditions and experience of Italy as a leading country in organic farming; work in a modern Italian gated organic farm and getting acquainted with its activities; innovations in growing crops; technologies for growing crops on biological principles; the equipment used in organic farming. In order to conduct the mobility and the stay in Italy in accordance with high standards, the candidates will have to go through professional, linguistic and cultural preparation and after an examination the group of participants in the practice will be selected. The project management team will provide transportation for the students to Italy. The project partner from Massa will take care of the accommodation, the organization of the practice and transportation to the job placements, as well as for organizing the cultural program. During practical training, students will acquire new knowledge and skills in the field of organic farming, will become acquainted with traditional and innovative technologies for crop and livestock production, as well as the mechanization of agriculture in Italy, will compare the realities of Bulgarian and Italian agricultural farm holding, will learn to implement delegated rights and responsibilities in carrying out the independent activity of the specific workplace, they will learn to implement strict orders and instructions related to the technological process, they will learn professional skills that they will apply after their return to Bulgaria, will acquire habits of teamwork, will improve their language skills and professional vocabulary in the field of agriculture, will enrich their background knowledge and culture and form internal motivation for continuous professional development, improvement and lifelong learning, which is a prerequisite for the successful launch and implementation in the profession in the agricultural sector in the region. After completion of the project activities, students will receive a certificate of practice held by the host school, a Europass Language Passport and Europass Mobility. The information which has been collected and processed on the project will be published in the school newspaper, posted on the school website and provided to the local media. With the purpose of promoting the activities posters with pictures will be designed and placed in partner schools. The design of leaflets, a presentation and CDs.
