Start date: Jul 1, 2016, End date: Jun 30, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

The aim of the project is to develop our student´s professional skills, but also personal skills that they can get only during a practise abroad. We want to provide to our students with disabilities (mild mental disability or learning disability) work experience, which would help them in the future for better competitiveness in the labour market. This can be achieved only by establishing a long-term international collaboration with a foreign partner who will be willing to accept disabled students. We decided to send 11 of our students from cooks and pastry cooks field of education to work for 21 days long internship to our foreign partner Peter & Paul Bistro, Wien. Students will actively participate in the catering field in Vienna. Their job will be professional work in the preparation of dishes and sweets. They will meet with dining and practices of the host country in the field of catering. Kitchen equipment receiving organization is at a higher level than in our school´s workshops.Participants of the internship will experience their first work experience abroad, they will learn new things in their field of studying, improve their language knowledge but mainly they will become more open to foreign cultures, more self-confident and since the school is located in the border region with Austria, their chances for having future job will increase. Thanks to this project also school will be able to implement new knowledge, systems to practical education at our school. We will also see how our partner will work with out students with disabilities which is very important experience for us.
