Project "Practice - your way to profession!" aim is to send 26 Valmiera Technical 4th cours students to the international six-week long practice to Italy, Slovakia and United Kingdom. In practice to Italy, Slovakia and the United Kingdom will be sent students who acquire: food service specialist, accountant, logistics employee, hospitality services and specialty retail commercial employee qualifications. Project will provide an opportunity for students to use practically knowledge acquired in school, as well as to acquire new knowledge and skills in a real workplace. International practice will be assessed as part of the students qualifying practice. Project will promote students opportunities to acquire new professional skills and knowledge in an international environment, it will increase students competitiveness in the labor market, will improve students' knowledge of foreign languages, as well as the awareness and understanding of other cultures and countries. Taking into account that Latvian is relatively high youth unemployment and studies have shown that one of the reasons are young people professional skills mismatches with the labor market needs, this project will be very useful because 26 Valmieras Technical students will get the opportunity to develop professional knowledge in an international environment under the guidance of a professional mentor. All participants after project will be more skilled in their professional sector and be able to use new knowledge after schools graduation in local companies. It will be benefit for the industry in local and national level.
