"Prácticas en otros países europeos: llave para la empleabilidad de los alumnos de Tevian"
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Tevian is a specialized family of Personal Image Center. Currently, we hold degrees in technical means and technical hairdressing and hair cosmetics in decorative personal aesthetics. Our Erasmus experience began in 2009 with the production of our first letter ECHE (higher education) .It was complicated, but today we can say that we have established and strengthened links with companies. For this project we have an intermediary partner EME S.L. (Poland) and other host Blackburn College (UK). In both cases, our students made their FCT (practices in vocational training centers) in hairdressing salons and aesthetic centers booths. EME S.L. is dedicated to providing scholarships to students of FP labor practices, stay and travel in other European countries. Normally exchanges take place between Poland and Spain. We know from our previous experience as host partners of Polish students. The good results of these experiences encouraged us to include in our project and the fact is that the results have also been satisfactory. This mobility took place in Kielce ZDZ, a leader in teaching FP of the Świętokrzyskie province with extensive experience in European programs and where our students did their practice center for 1 month. Blackburn mobility lasted 60 days (for linguistic reasons and because we had previous experience as shipping partners). Blackburn College is a specialist in education for youth and adults center whose range extends from "pre-entry level programs" to master's degrees Among its numerous facilities include those dedicated to personal image. A spa, 5 Saloons 4 aesthetic cabins and makeup studio. We ask four mobilities; 2 for Kielce and 2 for Blackburn .In principle, 2 were directed at hairdressers and 2 to aesthetics, but eventually enjoyed them 3 students hairdressing and aesthetics. The beneficiaries of this project were Sara, Alejandro (Blackburn College), Rocío and Roberto (ZDZ Kielce). As the selection process, organize information days, we set a deadline to formally notify the interest and then the international department chose recipients based on academic record (35%), the note of English (30%) and a personal interview (35%). These information days have to add more activities that took place before the mobility (signing agreements, meeting international department, talks with host partners, linguistic, cultural and Erasmus + training with beneficiaries etc.) for mobility ( meeting / weekly evaluations heads of study with tutors of the host partner etc.) and after mobility (evaluation, dissemination of results etc.) As for the effects and impact, we have ascertained that students have developed a greater cultural background that includes better language skills and greater openness towards other cultures. This experience has also been academic and professional. In carrying out their practices in classrooms linked to VET they may have known other educational and labor system and techniques specific different work in the field of hairdressing and aesthetics. They have also won professional contacts and new friends (even sentimental in one case), autonomy and maturity. As short- / medium term include employability (main objective of this project which will be reinforced by the cultural, linguistic and attitudinal impacts just named) and the desire to continue learning (eg Sara has enrolled in our top grade and has already shown interest in returning to enjoy the Erasmus scholarship). As long-term impacts are from future employment in the host country or elsewhere to continue investing in the Erasmus + program and its values as future teachers, employers or parents. Finally, note that the impact and objectives of our project added to the other participants could boost educational reforms.
