PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: May 31, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

Nowadays, since international interdependence and globalization are phenomenons of great importance in contemporary life and technological borders do not exist, total revaluation is required - which exceeds educational and cultural fields – concerning the role and structures of vocational education and training. Students’ interaction with social and labor environments outside school is necessary and obligatory. Thus European programs and actions serve the above target effectively. In the current program students of the following specializations will participate: electricians, electronics and computer science. All students speak the English language. The supervisor teacher of each of the above specializations teaches lab subjects, is English speaking, has attended seminars and participates in various programs in collaboration with the students of vocational education. Lab lessons are of great importance in students’ education where students acquire basic skills. Materializing this program, we try to cover the need of students for technical – vocational experience and information collection in a country with different educational approach . This program will be materialized in an industrial country, having tradition in technological research and novelty. The country’s growth is based on the technological knowledge and experience on the heavy industry. This will be an extra socio-cultural lesson for students since Berlin is a city with civilization and which embraces the history and acceptance of contemporary artistic spirit. The goals are: - The students’ contact with a different way of thinking through the participation to the program. - Turning students to a mutual understanding in order to have a greater sense of responsibility and acceptance of mental and cultural differences. - Acquisition of vocational skills in the working field and reinforcement of abilities and knowledge which students already have from their graduation from the vocational school. - Gathering of technological knowledge and experience in a contemporary and different way. - Educational experience in a European Union country. - Conscience of specific abilities and skills after acquiring typical recognized qualifications. - Students’ ability to control, improve and self-evaluate their knowledge and skills acquired from their so far vocational education. - The broadening of their mental horizons and way of thinking. - The European dimension of the knowledge of technology and the transportation of the technological knowledge. We hope that they will transmit their experience to all students. Exchange of experiences is direct and this will be a motive to our school for participation to similar programs and activities.
