Start date: Sep 1, 2016, End date: Aug 31, 2018 PROJECT  FINISHED

Our school, the Complex of Secondary Schools has chosen 30 students to take part in the Erasmus Plus programme. They all attend technical college in three different specializations: gardening, landscape architecture and hotel industry. The students will be supervised during their training by two teachers from our school. The training will be held in Dublin in Ireland in companies and organizations which deal with the above specializations. Students will stay with families chosen by our partner organization. The departure is planned at the end of March and the beginning of April 2017. It will be preceded by a series of classes aimed at preparing students to stay and work in a new place. We will run classes on the knowledge about the destination country as well as long-term English lessons. The English lessons will prepare students to communicate in everyday situations, establish better contact with host families, finding way in the town as well as fulfilling their chores while working. This training abroad will enable our students to improve their qualifications, gain some useful knowledge and skills and learn about the European labor market. They will be able to compare their chances between the local and foreign entrepreneurs. Furthermore, they will get to know the details about the Irish labor market. The attendance in the training abroad will also increase their self-confidence and encourage them to work on themselves. It will also motivate them to study harder and continue their education at university. After completing the training each student will receive a certificate which they can attach to their future CV. Our students will dramatically improve their English skills thanks to the training in Ireland and extra classes as well. The ability to use this language in real life situation will help them overcome the language barrier and make them aware of the importance of this language. The opportunity to meet other culture, religious and racial diversity as well as viewpoints will help them open to the problem of dissimilarity. The students will become more tolerant and open and conscious that all the people are equal. It is even more important since the majority of our students come from families with deeply rooted fear and prejudice against dissimilarity. The success of the above assumptions is mainly based on a good cooperation between our school and a reliable partner. The cooperation will consist in ensuring high standard of accommodation and working conditions to our students as well as creating the plan of training and communication between the sides. The attendance in the Erasmus Plus programme will help our students to be able to compete in the labor market with other graduates from bigger cities.
