Pracovníci Světa techniky za vzdělávacími programy science center v Evropě
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

This project is aimed at developing professional competence in STC workers who are concerned with lifelong learning and non-institutional education. This institution is a non-profit organization specialized in scientific research and application of the findings to the educational programmes designed for the public. The aim of this mobility is:- to become familiar with the current conditions and ways of creating educational programmes in large science centres abroad,- to explore the possibility of cooperation in creating projects or their exchange,- to elaborate the system of individual education in natural science (including the support of talented individuals, pensioners and other specific groups),- to discuss the presentation and daily management of interactive technological and natural science exhibitions (if present in the institution), their logistics and general management,- to share the experience with the management of digital 3D cinemas and similar exhibitions, - development of non-institutional education with special emphasis on natural science and technology,- job shadowing in science centres abroad,- laying the foundations of Central Europe science centre network. We suggest a short-term mobility (approximately 10 days) for a group of six workers to Spanish, Portuguese, Finnish and Norwegian science centres. The languages used during the mobility programme would be English or Spanish. We expect the following results and effects: the science centre educators will gain experience and know-how about the application of the newly acquired knowledge, skills and competence; the improvement and introduction of innovations in public relations approach; the promotion of technological disciplines and natural science (there is a certain influence of parents and grandparents on their children); enhancement of intergenerational interaction due to common activities in the science centres and the improvement in both quality and extent of cooperation with corresponding institutions. Moreover, the mobility project will also support the development of innovative methods in lifelong learning (e.g. it will serve as an inspiration for future e-learning schemes) as well as in modern technology. The latter is especially important when it comes to the creation of new exhibitions and their potential transfer.
