In this Project there are 16 students from Technical School no 2 with the profession of a food and gastronomy service technician and a waiter and other 16 students who also take part in this project from Technical School no 2 with the profession of a graphic design technician and a hospitality industry technician. The number of students from certain profession will be estimated by our school together with the partner organization after accepting the project. In June 2015 the students will receive three-week professional training in Italian restaurants and hotels and graphic design companies in Spain. Our trainees in Italy will work on different positions in the kitchen and restaurant room so that they can get to know the specificity of working with the customer and culinary specialties of Mediterranean cuisine and also all the tasks which are carried out to run the restaurant. They will have an opportunity to learn about the Italian cuisine, which is becoming more and more popular in our country, and also the style of life and work and the way the company is run in Italy. Additionally, they will have a chance to learn Italian on the basic level. But the trainees receiving the professional training in Spain will get to know the rules of working some hotels where they will gain some new experience in dealing with a hotel guest service. What is more, the trainees from the graphic design school will develop their skills in designing and installing different kinds of advertisements in graphic design companies. All the participants will use English in order to communicate and they will learn the basis of Spanish. The aim of this project is not only to improve professional skills of students but also develop their language skills and socio-cultural and civilization competence. The new skills they will gain make them more attractive on the Polish and European job market and they will also be effective and helpful for students while starting a new job or running and managing their new business. All these skills will let them easily deal with all different kinds of products used in the Italian cuisine and also different software used in advertisement or while dealing with the hotel guest service. The language and civilization skills will make the trainees’ contacts with Italian or Spanish business partner easier and also encourage them to face new challenges in their future life and, what is the most important , all their gained skills will make them more aware of the necessity of mobility in the modern job market. All the benefits will be long-lasting as people who will take part in the professional training are young and they will eagerly take advantage of all gained skills.
