Pour une ouverture pédagogique et culturelle à l'internationale
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

In a dynamic school and already invested in the teaching of English in kindergarten, the teacher team wants to go international in developing language learning and innovate in teaching via interdisciplinarity, the use of digital learning service and the cooperative education. To do this, teachers need to be trained to develop their knowledge and skills in the English language and British culture but also in the use of new technologies to develop interdisciplinarity in their school. Combine "Interdisciplinarity for school teachers" and "New Technologies for school teachers" answer the needs and expectations of the teacher team. Furthermore, we want to participate to these trainings early in the school year to develop our new project around these axes. Moreover the choice to involve three teachers of the school to various training seems relevant to us to enrich our school project of European Label on different axes in relation to the English language (new technologies and interdisciplinarity). Furthermore it allows to unite the team and develop a new dynamic around a great project for our school. A team referent language will be set up to support other teachers of the school and guide their actions and disseminate the use of tools, materials. Together, they will develop programming in connection with the new programs that will appear. The team will also accompany other teachers in the surroundings to share experiences and disseminate tools and training benefits. The team also wishes to make a charter for families to inform them about the emphasis on language learning within the school, but also on the teaching method . The opening on the international will be clearly displayed. During his stay in Dublin, the team wants to create professional contacts to then develop a European cultural openness within the school, through contacts made on site or via e-twinning platform. In addition, times of training will be an opportunity to meet other teachers who will be part of the working groups and as in our school, wish to open their students to European culture. Besides improving the English level, sharing ideas, discovering new or different practices, collecting collective projects we can use in classes are essential for trainees. After their trainings, teachers will be equipped to offer challenging and innovative situations to pupils. Those training activities aimed of course at the development of language and teaching skills for teachers, but above all, the motivation and development of English language proficiency for pupils. The school will also grow around these axes. A communication on these trainings will be done at different levels: information will be relayed to families, local partners, other schools, the Catholic Education of Finistère and the Inspectorate.
