CONTEXT/BACKGROUND I.C. “Marconi-Antonelli” has been carrying out its school education project for years by focusing on the relationship among I.C.T. , linguistic competences and methodological innovation concerning teaching/learning processes. “Comenius” Project and Classi 2.0 form a part of the Institute educational proposal. OBJECTIVES • Ability to use new technologies in teaching • ability to use English for professional exchanges and acquisition of new skills • ability to contextualize and personalize new teaching methodologies NUMBER AND PROFILE OF PARTECIPANTS In the project are involved 15 teachers for job shadowing, and 12 teachers for the courses, particularly belonging to the directionStaff, key figures in the organizational system of the school, and who have demonstrated organizational and educational skills (Two of them have been teaching for seven years in the Italian bilingual school of Madrid) ACTIVITIES Language courses, Job shadowing, twinning among teachers and students belonging to the different partner scholastic institutions of the project. METHODOLOGIES Communicative/functional approach to teaching/ learning languages, teaching through I.C.T., cooperative learning ENVISAGED RESULTS In short term: • Improvement of the linguistic skills and competence of teachers in L2 • Knowledge of European school systems • Empowered use of I.C.T in teaching/learning processes • Widening of cultural , linguistic and communicative opportunities for students In long terms: • Effective innovations in teaching methodologies • Increase of the number of target groups and stakeholders in the Project • Effective linguistic competence and performance in L2 for teachers
