The agricultural training center for apprentices of Dardilly (CFA Régional Agricole) is responsible for the project on behalf of the apprenticeship training units (UFA) of La Motte Servolex , Cibeins, Montravel and St-Ismier. From the beginning the technical trainers, teachers and masters of apprenticeship working for these units have been associated with the project in order to decide upon its orientation, its main and specific goals. The project is mainly concentrated on sustainable development which is a cross-disciplinary notion for all represented areas of apprenticeship. The general goals of this project correspond to the needs of the different apprenticeship training units, i.e. to share educational and professional practices through intensive immersion in companies, to raise the company leaders’ awareness of the importance of mobility for the apprentices. Focusing on professionalization of trainers and masters of apprenticeship will improve the relationships among all the participants and will make the placement of apprentices in companies easier. The goals of each apprenticeship training unit resulting from the cross-disciplinary notion “sustainable development” are as follows: - development of the differentiated management of green spaces (landscaping/ Saint Ismier) - reduction of chemical input and increase of alternative practices (wine growing-oenology) - challenge of water and energy management as well as sanitary issues (animal facility/Cibeins) Activities : Immersion in companies out of different professional areas, working groups including the people in charge of professional organizations and of research institutes, visit of well-known sites relating to sustainable development, working groups including the people in charge of interculturality (companies, educational teams). These goals and activities were set together with our German partners. Taking into account the outcome of their regular consultations both partners will finally draw up the modalities of the project during the Rhône-Alpes meetings of April 14th and 15th, 2014 and in the autumn, during the visit of our partners of the “Edith Stein” school at the Dardilly center. The signature of the partnership agreement in October 2014 will ensure stable and lasting exchanges. Thanks to their observations and analyses in the partner country the trainers will write articles on the themes related to their goals (articles will be issued on their blog). As for the apprenticeship training units, they will incorporate the added value into their educational practices. During the plenary meetings both partners will present a report on the results of the mobility (added value) in front of all the teams of the training centers. After the mobility of our German partner has finished, a common presentation of the results will take place. On the long run there will be numerous advantages: • improvement of educational methods • educational innovation • dynamic among the educational teams and the apprentices concerning international exchanges • offers for apprenticeship locations • intercultural exchanges • improvement of the relationships between French and German vocational training schools • focus on the positive professional outcome for all the people associated with the project.
