Podnoszenie kompetencji kadry KOSTKI
Start date: Sep 1, 2016, End date: Nov 30, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

The Project „Raising the Expertise of the KOSTKA staff” was prepared by The KOSTKA Jesuit Lower Secondary State School in Krakow. The recipients of the project are teachers of all subjects and other KOSTKA employees who would like to improve their proficiency in their work and the knowledge of English. Altogether the project encompasses seven mobilities – five language training trips to Great Britain and two job shadowing trips to the Fényi Gyula Jesuit College of Miskolc in Hungary. The participance in the mobilities will be proceeded by appropriate linguistic, cultural and psychological preparation. At the end of the mobility each participant will receive a Europass Mobility Certificate to confirm the acquired knowledge, skills and competences. The project is a response to the KOSTKA employees’ and students’ needs. Its completion is aimed at raising the work standards of the school, to facilitate the international cooperation, to consolidate the school’s authority in the local area and to reinforce its competitiveness on Krakow’s educational market. The European School Development Plan includes engagement in international projects in order to enable our students to encounter the cultural wealth and diversity in the world as well as to get in touch with young people of different cultural backgrounds. Though, the proceeding internationalization of the school’s activities requires knowledge of foreign languages, the know-how of the international milieu and a constant upgrade of professional competence. The school’s participance in an Erasmus+ project will be an opportunity for its students, the majority of whom originate from the rather impecunious “Na Kozłówce” neighbourhood, to strengthen their self-esteem and to experience the European diversity and the advantages which result from completing European projects. The result of the project will be to acquire new language skills, to learn innovative solutions and positive practices in the didactic work with young people. These will be presented via the school website, the social media and a sum-up meeting.
