Po nowe doświadczenia zawodowe na praktyki do naszych unijnych sąsiadów.
Start date: Sep 1, 2014, End date: Aug 31, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The aim of this project is to create the possibility for the students of ZSTiO in Sandomierz to get attractive internship placement which could guarantee access to modern technology for the future mechanics and IT workers. The agricultural character of our district determine branches of companies and institutions placed there. This is the main reason why our school has difficulties in finding suitable partner for local internships who could provide satisfying level of practical training as well as access to modern tools, equipment and software. We consider practical training as the most valuable part of vocational education and opportunity to gain indispensable knowledge and skills. School workshops are not equipped well enough to meet expectations of modern labor market. That is another cause to look for solutions which could give a chance to provide our students up-to-date vocational education. Taking part in this project is an excellent way to reduce these problems. The trades of car mechanics and IT workers are one of the fastest developing industry branches what generate the need for constant retrofitting the school workshops. Due to the internships abroad the students will have access to the most modern tools, equipment and software which will be provided by the receiving party. Scope and subject matter of the internship are agreed with the project partners and they fulfill the expectations of the vocational training curriculum. Additional advantage of this cooperation is possibility to use professional language in the terms of the workplace. 60 students are going to take part in the project: 20 students from basic vocational school – car mechanics, 20 students from the Technical School for Mechanics – car mechanics and 20 IT students from Technical School of Information Technology. The assumption of the project is to organize 2-weeks internship for the students from the basic vocational school in Germany, in the area of Brandenburg where professional trainers of vocational training center will supervise their work. Technical students will be provided with 4-weeks internship in Ireland, in the area of Cork. They will train under the supervision of their employers and company staff. The quality of the both forms of the internship is guaranteed by the qualifications of the personnel employed in the companies and the center as well as the equipment, installation and software provided and adjusted to the needs and aims described in the project. Project objectives: 1. The students gain working experience at the initial stage of their vocational education. 2. Gifted and highly motivated students gain the opportunity for professional development and improvement of their communicative skills in English and German. 3. The prospect of employment of our graduates increases. They become competitive workers in the European and Polish labor market. 4. Vocational training in ZSTiO in Sandomierz becomes much more attractive offer. 5. The students improve their competence in the area of professional language. 6. Knowledge of the cultures and traditions of the host countries improves. Expected results of the project: 1. Improvement of professional skills which results the subject of the internship. 2. Every participant of the project gets Europass Mobility Certificate and Irish partner additionally provides Europass Language Passport. 3. Rise of social competence in the area of: cooperation, dealing with conflicts, professional interactions, teamwork, responsibility and personal culture. 4. Development of cultural awareness and communicative skills. Travelling abroad is not only rewarding in the terms of professional training or language skills. It is also a great opportunity for young people to become familiar with foreign culture, visit monuments and the most interesting places in Brandenburg and the area of Cork. As sending institution we can provide promotion of the project and its outcomes in local community via the media and our website. Moreover project participants will organize a conference to share their experiences with our local authorities and community in June 2015. Thus we will summarize our participation in the Erasmus plus Program.
