The target groups of this project are project management professionals, trainers, educators and students; organisations striving for maturity in project management (business, public and NGOs); national project management associations developing professional standards; national and international institutions (acting as project sponsors and / or owners) interested in smooth project implementation. This project a) underlines the strong need for joint efforts towards improving the transparency and recognition of project managers’ qualifications and competences at the European level; b) addresses the problem by the development of a flexible, widely accessed and adaptable web tool for self testing, training and assessing of competences in the project management profession; c) compares and evaluates the project managers’ key skills according to their content and not to preconceptions; d) defines and implements a relevant methodology based on the international standards while applying the most promising standardisation approaches; e) also plans the development of a thesaurus module and the implementation of the functioning tool for the phases of dissemination and exploitation; f) achieves different results: assessment reports, a multifunctional project management web portal; g) promotes social dialogue in vocational training through the contacts with relevant organisations, NGOs, educational and governmental institutions, public and private enterprises.
