Playing for Pyrenees History
Start date: May 2, 2016, End date: Nov 1, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

In the Pyrenees Mountains, local people express a sense of their common life. Young people say they have relationships with other populations of the mountain space but remaining only on the same slope. They cross the border but not to learn. And this is a big paradox with past generations did not feel the barrier or overcame them to organize their mobility. The European Union is committed to the development of local territories because of its construction foundation is to unite all culturally different populations to build a strong European territory and welded economically but also culturally. His slogan "United in diversity" is the same evidence. Our named project "Playing for Pyrenees History" is going in this direction: reforming a united territory, based particularly on its history to facilitate youth mobility, in professionally and private spheres, cultural, etc ..."Playing for Pyrenees History" is a mobility project proposed by two partners, a French association called Enosis and a Spanish, named Buenavista.Through this project, we want to discover and rediscover local memories Pyrenees and its links with European history. For this, participants chose to make a focus on cultural themes, games, sports then and now. Our cultural associations advocate interculturalism and popular education, and we clearly know that recreation has always been a major part in the local culture and education.Today some types of recreation appear and others disappeared. Europe is in perpetual construction, and is a recent institution. However, local people all have rich cultures as each other. By the theme of leisure yesterday and today, the group of participants also wants to rediscover his life and territory to resurface the memories of our culture Pyrenean, and try to understand the bond that unites us ...We want to learn to better know our culture, search and investigate the history of our territory. Ultimately, the main goal is to make everyone more aware of belonging to a local territory with a great story to affirm our European citizenship. The Pyrenees is a territory with a strong culture, but history shows its important interaction with other European countries. This participatory project will rely on a couple of youth workers and 30 youth aged 14 to 18 who will realize a total of 6 activities mobility (mobility of youth workers and youth exchange). All activities and programs will be developed by the participants in a regular monitoring of the project, bringing questioning, new problems, discoveries ... The program will alternate meetings, informal learnings, research and surveys but still using the method of active participation. Participants, especially young people, will drive the project."Playing for Pyrenees History" should enable the participants to recognize the role of local territories in Europe, the reverse is also true. The history of territories, whatever the topic you wish to address is related to Europe. In the memories of the people, we can see that Europe is also present locally. This should also lead to a questioning of the problems of European citizenship. Indeed, the participants feel (as they say) Pyrenean. In addressing the historical links between Europe and the Pyrenees, we can affirm the link between local populations Pyrenees (French and Spanish) and Europe to understand why we are french, spanish, pyrenean but mainly European citizens and thus act as such.
