Start date: May 1, 2015,
End date: Oct 1, 2015
The project was a youth exchange that will take place from the 16th to the 26th of August 2015 in Gravina in Puglia, the city in which the applicant organisation works, the Cooperativa EOS. EOS is a non-profit organisation that takes care of children and adolescents living in marginalized contexts, with fewer opportunities and risk of delinquency. Then, starting from these guys and their desire to integrate and feel part of the society, we decided to include in the project young people from 14 to 17 years’ old who, without any fault, belong to the same reality in their countries of origin.
The project took place in the heart of the city center, and offered an opportunity for participants from Italy, Spain, France and Estonia to compare two aspects of their culture: the music and the game. The guys of each nationality showed their traditions related to music and popular games and research in them common elements and differences with the aim of creating a European music and game. The results were present to the local community through the final event that took place in a courtyard.
The project also included a promotion activity of the Erasmus+ Programme in the nearby town of Matera, walks in Gravina in Puglia and a trip to the sea.
The planned activities were implement according to non-formal education methodologies: the objectives closely related to the project that facilitate the exchange of different cultural aspects.
