"Permaculture - the culture of nature" is an 8 days multilateral youth exchange happening in Prijepolje, Serbia which will gather 42 young activists from Spain, Croatia, Albania, Turkey, FYRM, Italy and Serbia. Theme of the project is a concept of "Permaculture" as one of the solutions for better and greener world. Permaculture is a branch of ecological design and ecological engineering which develops sustainable human settlements and self-maintained agricultural systems modeled from natural ecosystems. Through non-formal, interactive workshops and lectures, participants will gain new knowledge about organic farming, agroforestry, integrated farming, sustainable development, and applied ecology. Through a set of innovative and interesting activities, participants will explore environmental issues, give us picture on European level about environment, share good practice, show how art and culture can connect people from different backgrounds in solving environmental issues. The main objectives of the exchange are: to raise awareness on environmental issues; share best practices in order to increase youth participation in topics related to the Sustainable Development; provide a multicultural environment where young people can experience the process of intercultural learning through the use of non-formal education activities such as role-plays, artistic workshops, forum theatre, open air-activities and others.
