Période de formation professionnelle à l'étranger
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The context:The private professional high school AGIR is specialised in the field of the care services. In the Ministry reference table for the Vocational high school diploma in care services is recommended to hake an internship abroad to allow the candidates from a rural area, to widen their professional areas of competence. Indeed, this internship is important all the more for these pupils largely from a rural world and who therefore have only little opportunities to leave abroad. The objectives:The global objective is for the pupils to apply and to adapt their technical and professional skills belonging to their domain in a foreign structure. The main objectives are to develop the pupils autonomy, to encourage them to be mobile, to teach them open-mindedness and tolerance, to support the team spirit and the exchanges of professional practices, to develop professional ethics, to allow the young people to live and share a common experience and finally make them sensible to the local culture. All these objectives will allow the student to develop their life experience. This experience will be a great upgrade to their CV, during the research of a future employment, and may incite them to work one day abroad. The profile of the participants:The number of participating pupils amounts to 36, accompanied of 3 educators in charge which will be present during 2 weeks of the internship. The accommodation:The accommodation will be arranged in a collective structure to allow an individualized follow-up, regular work, an approach of community life and rules of etiquette. The activities:Upstream, the activities will largely be connected to the trip preparation (administrative documents, internship agreements, CV, cover letters) and to the cultural dumping. During the journey, the pupils will work in various structures in connection with care services in which the educator in charge and the internship supervisors will evaluate them. Furthermore, specific works of the professional practices and experiences lived in internship will be discussed and supervised by the educator every evening, it will be the moment for the trainees to exchange on their practices. Finally an individual follow-up will be organized so that every pupil feels comfortable, supervised and accompanied in his(her) internship. During the intermediate weekend of the 2 weeks, a visit of Brussels (museums, place of interests ...) will be organized to pursue the cultural dumping.Openning to Europe: These internships are made possible thanks to the financing of the European Union through a project Erasmus +. On top of that there will be action taken by the pupils and the participation of families. The impacts and the expected results: We wish that the trainees became aware of an occupational environment differently then in France and widen their horizon of future professional life. We wish for them to feel valued having lived this experience, not only on a professional level but also on a personal point of view (respect, manners, life in community). The long-term potential advantages: Tempt the trainees to develop their international mobility, and to perfect their CV. For the LPP AGIR, the main advantage is the emphasis of our school on the organization of internships abroad, which engenders numerous positive points (advertising by press articles and web site, establishment fame, valuation of the VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA SAPAT with the pupils)The national impact is the elaboration of a press article in the magazine "Éducation et Promotion de l'Union Nationale Rurale d’Éducation" distributed in all other establishments of our network. It pulls forward the establishment but also, can give the desire, in other schools, to throw themselves into the adventure, and allow the largest number to reach an experience as this one.
